Your opinion is powerful, so here’s what we’ll do with it.

Firstly, we will regularly collect and analyse the views and opinions you give us online to help us understand what people want and need to see changed. We will always let you know the results so you get to know what the world is thinking.

In our first conversation, "Welcome to izwe", we are looking for people’s views on engagement and democracy so we can help create a society and a politics that makes better use of all our knowledge, insights and opinions. We’ll be back in touch to let you know the results ASAP.

Secondly, we would like izwe to be a space for real, tangible people-powered change. We’d like to get enough momentum to create a critical mass of opinion so we can start lobbying and changing the world we live in. To do that, we need you, your friends, your colleagues, everyone, to contribute. With more opinion, debate and shared knowledge we have more power to invest in change for the better.

What you can do next…

This site is a space for YOU to promote issues for discussion or just to come and talk nicely with other users.

Here’s what you can do to get involved:

Easy things
-  Sign up, in the left hand column, and start exploring and getting involved in conversations and communities
-  Invite friends and open up discussions and debates

Want to get a bit more involved?
-  We'll be adding other conversations in the future so keep watching the site
-  Pretty soon you’ll be able to start your own groups and create your own conversations
-  We'll be adding new functionality; if you have ideas, you can share them on develop.izwe.com
-  Want to help us with this exciting project? Please contact us on hello@izwe.com
-  Want to start your own group or community page? Please contact us on hello@izwe.com

Our Ground Work (work on the ground)…
Izwe has been working hard in piloting the project with seven local authority partners. We are starting off small with a big ambition to understand how an online space such as izwe can help feed into better local decisions and provide room for communities to come together and collaborate for change. Explore the site and join in with the conversations; you will be able to find them on izwe.com/community/partner as they launch.

Just a reminder to bear with us…

The site is still beta, beta, beta. Because we want the site to be the best it can for you, we’d love it if you could feed back any problems you notice with the site, or any ideas you have about how to improve it. Simply click the 'feedback' button on the bottom right of your screen. Even better, you can join our development conversation at develop.izwe.com.
